Happy Sierra Leone National Day to those of our students who are celebrating!

Sierra Leone, officially the Republic of Sierra Leone, is a country in West Africa. 
It is bordered by Guinea on the north and Liberia on the south, with the Atlantic 
Ocean on the west. The name Sierra Leone was adapted from the Portuguese name for the country: Serra Leoa. The literal meaning is ”Lion Mountains.” Sierra Leone gained independence in 1961.

The Student Council is to be consulted to identify which other countries’ national days we could celebrate here at the College, in addition to those which we already observe during the year. They will also be asked to consider how best to mark the days.
